How Many Spoken Languages In The World?


So far, yes, the reason I started my sentence with “So far” because languages is something that develop over long long years; there are might be other languages in some cultures or tribes that are being used already  but we couldn’t get a chance to find out.
  • As of now,  approximately 6900 – 7000 different spoken languages in the world! Surprisingly, less than 100000  people use 90% of these languages.
  • In Asia, there are 2200 languages found in Asia, 260 in Europe
  • Papua New Guinea for instance, boasts no less than 832 different languages!
What are the world’s most spoken languages? 
  • Well, the most widely spoken languages by number of native speakers and as a second language are: Mandarin Chinese, English, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, German and French.

World First Commercial Cellular Phone

These days our smartphones are so light and integrated with cutting edge technology, which made it extremely easy to use! Have you ever wondered how was the first commercial portable mobile phone look like? Well, I have some some information to share with you… here you go: 

Fact: 
Pioneer of First Cellphone, Martin Cooper, who was also a person ever to make phone calls using portable cellular phone in April, 1973.
Weight: 2 Pounds!
Cost: $3995 in 1984 and $1000 in 1991
First Available to The Public: The world's first commercial handheld cellular phone, the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X phone, received approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission on September 21, 1983.

How Many People Use Cell Phone All Around the World?

Cellphone is one of the greatest inventions in human history not to mention these tiny devices bringing the whole world into your palm. I won’t go over what cellphones are capable of doing these days because that might be very boring to read since billion of us using cellphones everyday. However, I will give you couple facts about cellphone that you probably don't know yet..Here you go:
FACT:
We have 7 billion people on earth and 6 billion own cellphones!! By the way only 4.5 billion people have access to working toilets, which is disappointing

U.S President to be writing Greek and Latin Simultaneously


Right before reading this fact, I actually tried it by myself since I am a bilingual but I had a hard time writing couple letters from both alphabets. 

FACT: The 20th, U.S President James A. Garfield (1881) who was able to write Greek and Latin simultaneously!! 
Wait! That's not all..
FACT: President James A. Garfield was the first president who used two languages -- English and German in his presidential campaign

U.S President Who was a Self-Educated Tailor


I don't know how many of you have tailoring skills, probably some of you do. As far as I know tailoring is something that doesn't come easily without learning or get trained from somebody else. I am excited to share a piece of information that might blow your mind!!.. 
FACT: Andrew Johnson (The 17th U.S President,1865 - 1869) was only U.S President who was self-educated tailor. He would make his own cloths and for those who were in his cabinet!!!
