World’s First President to Be Fluent in Sign Language!


FACT: The 34th U.S. President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, was fluent in American Sign Language and often communicated with the deaf community.

FACT: Roosevelt was also the first president to broadcast live radio addresses, connecting directly with the American people.
