The inland taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus), often known as the "fierce snake," is thought to be the most venomous snake in the world. This exceedingly dangerous snake, which can be found in Australia, is thought to have venom that is up to 50 times more toxic than that of a normal rattlesnake and up to 10 times more toxic than that of an Indian cobra.
